Fees and How to Apply

Fees: The annual fee for these courses is £1500. This fee does not include the costs of accommodation, travel or subsistence.

This can be paid in advance or in three instalments. However, it may soon be possible to pay in 8 or more instalments spread over the year (we are waiting for confirmation of this from the University). Payment by credit card is possible through the University web site. This attracts an additional charge of 1.2 %. Full details of these methods of payment will be sent to those who make an application for a place on the courses.

Application: should be made on the University’s standard forms that are available from Linda Marsh (contact details below).

As well as completing the various parts of the standard form please submit an Additional Sheet and explain in not more than 500 words why you want to do the course. For example tell us about your enthusiasm for birds, how long you have been involved in paid or voluntary activities with birds or conservation, details of any relevant courses you may have attended, bird related trips you have been on, local, regional or national surveys that you have contributed to, societies that you belong to etc. We wish to get a picture of what you hope to get out of doing the course, what you might hope to use your new knowledge and skills for.
