Which Course is for me?

Post Graduate Certificate, Post Graduate Diploma or MSc in Ornithology?

The difference between studying for the MSc or its intermediate awards depends upon the skills that you wish to acquire and your prior qualifications.

Whether you are studying for the Post Graduate Certificate, PG Diploma or MSc you will be expected to show that as the result of your study you have achieved a high level of academic skills and knowledge. At the end of your course rather than just being able to describe and evaluate knowledge and ideas you will be expected to show that you can  “critically analyse and critically evaluate” ideas, data etc within the field of ornithology.

The Table below sets out the entry requirements for the different programmes. Note that as well as academic qualifications your experience in the fields of ornithology and conservation  (either in paid or voluntary employment) can be taken into account.

Present qualification Relevant experience in ornithological activity (voluntary or paid) longer than 2 years?
