Students from Brazil and Croatia welcomed to the Centre

Croatia and Brazil met for the first time at the Centre for Ornithology this week. Two biology students sponsored by the British Council have arrived to get summer field work and laboratory experience with members of the Centre. Petra Svoboda from Zagreb and Livia Berti from Sao Paolo are the lucky pair of students who have won British Council scholarships to spend  time learning about ornithological research and getting a taste of the British countryside and its wildlife. They were soon out to the Chaddesley Woods field site helping with the long term projects based there and getting a glimpse of the habitats and wildlife to be found close to Birmingham. The photograph shows them ready for some lab  work before putting on their waterproofs and learning how to enjoy the British summer!
